He has developed expertise of the traditional as well as alternative investment funds industries in the context of assurance engagements, with a focus on private business valuations and modelling. He developed an extensive knowledge and set of skills on valuation processes, techniques, and market practices along with the relevant auditing skills.
Samir helps to lead the VS practice in managing and delivering a diverse range of financial investments/assets (from traditional to alternatives) valuation engagements in the context of assurance and non-assurance services to local and international clients and PwC offices.
He is also a training instructor, delivering extensive interactive trainings to PwC’s clients and people.
Samir has prior experience at in an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) carrying out the valuation function of the AIFM and at an international retail group carrying out the financial controlling of a business unit of the group.
He is Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Valuation Surveyor (MRICS).
Samir is a Member of the Founding Committee and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Luxembourg Valuation Professionals Association (LVPA).
